Do pessimists have a higher degree of realism of the world we live in than optimists?

Both optimism and pessimism are ways of fleeing from reality. Realism is about judgment. Optimism and pessimism are about emotion; they are different kinds of withdrawal-based, and therefore anti-realism-based, stances.
