Does being a creative person make you more observant?

People are as observant as they have to be, and creative people are constantly putting themselves out on limbs that require them to be creative.

Being observant does not make one creative. (Reptiles are observant but not creative.) Being creative makes one observant. (Tolstoy had no choice but to be observant.)
