Why does my OCD make me want to confess to things I didn't do?

These fake confessions are admissions of desires of yours that you would like to act on but are not letting yourself act on. When you have a desire to falsely confess to beating up/having sex with so and so, it is because you would like to beat up/have sex with so and so.
